I have used several means of grooming my groin area and this device works quite well. There is a caution though that should be mentioned. Both sides of the grooming head have cutting surfaces similar to the small “wand” type trimmers. These work well for removing longer hair but they CAN nick the skin. This is particularly a concern whilst shaving the scrotum where the skin is looser. Be particularly careful where the scrotum attaches to the shaft.

I use the Bodygroom on my groin, shaft, scrotum, perineum, and buns and it is very good. My opinion is that it should be used in conjunction with a “stubble” shaver (such as the Seiko S-yard). The S-yard is good for daily grooming however over time some pubic hairs will grow too long for the S-yard to get. A weekly or bi-weekly shave with the Bodygroom cleans them up well. The Bodygroom, in my opinion, is too prone to nicks for daily use.

One other thing, I do not recommend using the Bodygroom for wet shaving. It seems to work much better with a dry powdered surface.
